Tsavo West

Description

Tsavo west national park stands out to be the 2nd largest national park in Kenya and also one of the oldest national parks which was established in 1948. The park has a topography of riverine vegetation, vast grasslands, dense acacia woodlands, rocky outcrops and semi-arid desert shrubbery are the perfect habitats for Kenya’s northern and southern species.
The park hosts the famous shetani lava flow, Mzima Springs for a glimpse of crocodiles and hippos in an underground lookout and the Ngulia Rhinoceros Sanctuary, one of the few places in the country where it is possible to view the majestic black rhino.
