Located at the northern end of Manda Island in Lamu, Manda Bay Retreat is an independently owned boutique resort that offers a unique blend of luxury, privacy, and exclusivity. Set in a quiet and secluded environment, the resort provides guests with the opportunity to relax away from the busy world while enjoying the natural charm of its palm-thatched cottages and open-plan living spaces. Guests can experience an unspoiled beach setting featuring soft white sand on a private shoreline, surrounded by coconut palms, doum palms, Acacia Tortilis trees, and diverse wildlife.

Room Types at Manda Bay Resort

As a boutique property, Manda Bay Resort features a total of 22 rooms. These are divided into eleven Beachfront Rooms, five Palm Rooms, and six Garden Rooms.

Garden Rooms – Located at the center of the property, these rooms are ideal for solo travelers, guests traveling with children, or visitors seeking convenient access to facilities while maintaining affordability.

Palm Rooms – Positioned slightly further from the seawall and elevated behind the Beachfront Rooms, these accommodations provide guests with refreshing sea breezes and a peaceful atmosphere.

Beachfront Rooms – Situated directly along the seawall, these rooms are the closest to the beach and ocean, especially noticeable during low tide. They are notably spacious and offer direct proximity to the water.
