Tour Overview
This experience gives you the opportunity to explore Kenya’s second most popular park after the Masai Mara. Amboseli National Park is well known for its large elephant herds and offers breathtaking views of Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. The tour can begin either in Nairobi or Mombasa for convenience.
Proposed Itinerary
You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport and depart for Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival at the park gate for registration, you will proceed for an exciting game drive. Although Amboseli is smaller compared to other national parks in Kenya, it offers an incredible wildlife experience within a compact area.
The park is famous for its spectacular scenery, with Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) rising majestically to the south, creating a stunning backdrop for wildlife sightings. Visitors can expect to see large elephant herds with impressive tusks, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, and gazelles. Bird enthusiasts can also explore over 420 recorded bird species found in the park.
Later, enjoy a picnic lunch at Observation Hill (at an additional cost), where you can take in beautiful panoramic views. Afterward, you will continue with an en-route drive as you join the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway and return in the evening with drop-off at your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport.
